Most of the security seals used today is of metallic type and especially mechanical type. The use of mechanical seals have wide advantages, they are easy to operate, long life and more reliable. Everybody knows that mechanical device needs lubrication for their smooth operation and I the similar way the trailer seals also requires periodic lubrication for perfect locking and providing security. When the machine parts rub against each other they will have some wear and tears which are quite natural and this is the reason why we use lubrication. The lubricating oils can be anything like vegetable oil, grease. It is recommended to use the prescribed manufactures lubrication because all the oils will not suit all the devices. When the oils are applied in excess then there is chance of slipperier which will damage the seal on the whole. For example excess lubricating the trailer seals will damage the bearings which will slip out from their frames.
